I think that every writer has his/her unique style of expressing/portraying specific subjects. It is important to be aware of conservative nature of cultures of specific countries and broad-minded nature of cultures of specific countries. There has to be more of farsightedness shown by a writer to ensure that targeted audience can at least respect the views of the writer. Otherwise, there can be cultural shock for conservative-minded audience once a piece of writing like The Yacoubian Building is read.
